You may find decriptions of several Maui hiking trails on the Hawaii Trail & Access System website.

If you have more then a week on Maui, a trip to Haleakala volcano is a must do. The colors at sunset and sunrise are incredible. Miles of trails start from the top and descend to Haleakala crater.

This trail is a real hike. It climbes up to the elevation more than 2500 ft providing panoramic views of Wailuku, central Maui, and Molokai. Although you can hear waterfalls, you can't see them from the ridge.

More then two dosen waterfalls cascade through the narrow valley creating lovely sparkling pools. (This area is also known as the 'Seven Sacred Pools'). An easy, well maintained trail leads you through the bamboo forest to the highest accessible waterfall on Maui.
